| Do I have to buy in Quantity? |
| Yes, our minimum purchase is 100 board feet, whether it’s
one or two items. For mixed orders of 500 board feet or more, freight in Ohio
is included in the price. For all smaller orders, we can give a freight quote. Back |
| Do you accept credit cards? |
| Yes, MasterCard and Visa are honored.

| Is delivery available in my area? |

Our own flatbed trucks deliver anywhere in Ohio. For deliveries out-of-state,
we ship on commercial trucks at the customers’ expense.

| Do I need to pay in advance? |
| Deliveries that are made on our truck can be paid to the
driver at the time of delivery. For credit card purchases, commercially shipped
orders, and orders that are picked up, payment must be handled at our office.

| What are your business hours? |
| Monday thru Friday 8 a.m.-5p.m. No pick-ups between noon
and 1pm (our crew is at lunch)

| Can I pick up after hours or on the weekend? |

Yes, for orders that are prepaid with MasterCard or Visa, we have a 24/7
pick-up box. (See our home page and click on 24/7)

| Do you sell plywood or veneers? |
| No.

| Can I request clear boards? |
| No, our lumber is sorted according to National Hardwood
Lumber Association grades. Back |
| Can I come and hand select lumber? |
| No. All of our customer orders are pulled from our
warehouses by qualified lumber graders. Back |
| Can I specify widths and lengths? |
| Our lumber is inventoried according to length groupings,
so we can provide help along that line. The width of hardwood lumber is random. Back |
| Would I have to accept sapwood in cherry? |
| The light colored portion of a board is sapwood, and is
not a lumber grading defect. Yes, sapwood can be found even in the finest

| Can I come and visit your yard? |
| Yes, we encourage first-time buyers to see our yard, our
sorting system, and the planer/ripping building. Please let us know, so that
someone can be made available. Back |
| When can I expect my lumber? |
| Typically, rough lumber can be picked up the next
business day after ordering. For orders that include surfacing and/or ripping,
allow two days. Deliveries vary, according to when a truckload of orders forms
in any part of the state, mostly within a week to 10 days after receiving your

| Can you give a brief description of your hardwood grades? |

FAS&SEL - This is the top grade of lumber that we sell. The widths are 4”
and wider and the lengths at 6’ and longer. This percentage of clear cuttings
is 84 to 100% clear.
FAS & 1C - This is a mix of 50%FAS and Select and 50% #1 Common stock. #1 COMMON - Widths 3” and wider and our lengths are 6’ and longer. The percentage of clear cuttings is between 67-83%. #2 COMMON or ECONOMY - Widths 3” and wider and our lengths are 6’ and longer. The percentage of clear cutting is 50-66%. Willis Lumber Shorts - Widths 3” and wider and the lengths are 24-48". Stock is 90 to 100% clear, except walnut that is 80 to 100% clear. Willis Lumber Super Shorts - Widths 3” and wider and lengths are 4 & 5’. Stock is 90% to 100% clear, except walnut that is 80 to 100% clear. Back |
